NMAM Institute of Technology was established in 1986 and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The institute is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and accredited by National Assessment & Accreditation Council [NAAC] with 'A' grade with a CGPA of 3.11 out of 4 till 20th October 2022. Seven UG Programs i.e., BE in Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are accredited by NBA, New Delhi under Tier - I category till 30th June 2021. The institution has been granted Academic Autonomy under the Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2007-08 and certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standards for quality education by NVT Quality Certifications (ANAB accredited). Computer Society of India is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India.CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path during its formative years. It was started on 6 March 1965 by a few computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals. The Computer Society of India(CSI) Student Branch, started in the institute in the year 2007, aims at imparting technical knowledge and ethical responsibilities in the students through all its activities. It encourages and motivates students to participate, organize and volunteer in various workshops, technical training, competitions and motivational events to instill in them a sense of responsibility, confidence and determination. It also aims at overall personality development by providing hands-on workshops to educate students in the latest trends. The theoretical knowledge obtained in the classes is used for the implementation, hence providing the practical knowledge to all. Technical talks are arranged to keep students updated about the recent technologies. Every possible attempt is made to equip students with the best of technical knowledge to mould them into a perfect engineer.
